PERMANANT and INTERIM TEACHER responsible for curriculum development and instruction of High School English classes that meet the changing state standards and testing procedures.  Interim and short positions taught French, Spanish, Latin, Music, Theater, Algebra, History/U.S. Government, Computer Technology, and Digital Design.  Often worked with teachers and students creating department logos, printing specialty products for fund raising, assisting with school branding for special events, providing after school tutoring, and Co-Sponsor of Latin Cub.

ART DIRECTOR, GRAPHIC ARTIST, and WEBMASTER for this custom screenprinting business.  Responsible for all prepress screenprinting and dye sublimation duties from creation of graphic designs, colour separations, file prep, merchandise printing, providing customer service, to creating and maintaining multiple websites and shopping carts.

OFFICE MANAGER responsible to streamline, operate, and maintain reservations and the Maintenance Office at these Vacation Rental Resorts as well as co-ordinate and report all operations between the Maintenance, Housekeeping, Quality Control, Guest Relations, and Front Desk Departments. Position required maintaining extensive daily reports, updates, and data entries on reservations, staff assignments, supplies, billing, and submitting month-end reports as required by Corporate Offices.


ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND

I am a proficient worker with high standards and exacting attention to detail and deadlines. I have an excellent command of the English language both orally and written and still maintain French as well as some of the other languages acquired throughout the years.

I hold a valid Alien Resident Card and Social Security Number that allows me to work in the United States and hold a valid Canadian Passport making me able to travel anywhere in the world.

In addition to a vast array of retail experiences and business ownership responsibilities, I have extensive knowledge using PC and MAC computers and software. Knowledge includes purchasing, installation, maintenance and upgrading of computers, software, printers, scanners and associated peripherals. Functional, or proficient, using graphic and word processing software including, but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter, InDesign, Premier, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and much more.

Proficient in web design using the software GoLive and Dreamweaver as well as uploading, maintaining and sustaining html web sites with experience using php coded shopping carts.

Extensive background in light opera and the theater from writing plays to stage management, make-up, costume design, producing and performing. Was attached to several professional theatrical companies and troupes as well as sponsor teacher for clubs and productions at several high schools over the years.

Extensive music background including some teaching of high school orchestra and vocal chorus, rehearsal pianist for ballet and light opera companies and the seventeen-year private study of musical history, harmony, counterpoint and piano performance. Instrumental performance includes study on the flute, harp, guitar and several years performing and competing on first soprano horn with an international award-winning Drum & Bugle Corps.
